Before & After

Here are some before and after photos of our little village. 2 weeks ago we had flooding and now everything is gone, within 2 weeks, a level of approx 4 Meters height. Where did all the water go? And everything is so clean, did they brush it with a toothbrush?
See the difference?

I have to add that we live  far away enough from the water that we were not affected.
So no reason to worry about us.

It's amazing the difference. Your town is so pretty and I am glad you weren't also washed away.

Pleased you were not affected. There has been so many floods and severe weather systems around the world. We are still waiting to see the full damage from the cyclone that hit north Queensland. Hopefully the flooding and tidal surge will not be too bad. And yes... didn't you know that it's part of flood clean up policy to use a toothbrush to get everything squeeky clean and back to normal!! (and there are special little sucker animals with big straws!!)

Hi, Belinda yes you're right the earth seems to react crazy these times. Hope you're all o.k. downunder with the cyclone! Horrible.

Mal.

Sandra, yes its amazing, but in this little village I fear only the historical part is pretty, the rest is rather narrow-minded.

Dear Helen, I'm still laughing about this little sucker animals!
Not funny though the cyclone, I hope it won't be too bad. First the flood, now the cyclone, that's a littlebit too much right now.

wow, impressive. i'd say that mother earth is sending us some pretty clear messages.
and then, there is the water again. talking about your connection to it. which village is this, where do you live?

have a lovely weekend

I'm glad you are alright. The power of nature can be frightening sometimes, as we've come to see in the news lately. I do like the idea of marking the highest points of water on that wall - as if to remind people to be prepared for the future. :)

that is so incredible! i remember a trip to venice several years ago when they had flooding everywhere (i gathered it's a regular occurrence there) but quick as a whip they'd put up those same kinds of bridges for people to get around on. the water even came into our hotel lobby, so strange to live somewhere that floods on the reg.

glad you are alright! ♥
