dc PATTERN + new method!

painting copyright barbara böttcher 1,5 m x 1,1 m x 4 c

exhibition view - the carpet was  also designed by me - all rights reserved barbara böttcher

Hello and welcome to this weeks drawing challenge with the theme PATTERN.
I like to show you one of my large paintings from 2006.

NEW PROCEDURE - NEW PROCEDURE - NEW PROCEDURE - NEW PROCEDURE!

A couple of weeks ago our lovely and creative mano had the idea, that it would be much easier,
if everyone would add his link to this post. So I like to give it a try here for the first time.
Please add your link to this post!
This way everyone can see instantly who'd posted his entry to the dc already.

Hope you'll like this new variation.
Wish you all a splendid weekend and can't wait to see with what kind of pattern you came up with!
Barbara

brilliant idea, actually, the linking.

love the crazy pattern and texture on your 2006 painting. although it does also remind me of trying to fiddle small beads onto a thread, a thing i have not ever been good at, at all! ;)))
i have enjoyed the theme, albeit i've been sighing over a photoshop application that still hasn't worked... argrgrhgh.
happy weekend! i'm off for a walk.

Liebe Barbara,

Mail mir mal deine Adresse, dann fliegen welche davon weiter! (info(ÄT)michaela-mueller-design.de)

Barbara, wow, amazing paintings! The carpet is very cool. Is it made of felt fabric?
I like the new linking system as it's much easier for the host. Have a good week. xo Carole

Wow, Barbara, as usual if there is a painting of yours, I am impressed, this one is so great and I am happy you show it and than even in this exhibition room. So very interesting! It must be great to be in front of it. Reminds me of Aborigine Art.
Very very cool.
Yeah, much easier for the host, I guess!
But we keep telling us if we are in, don´t we?
Thanks for your d.c.
x Stefanie

i was just thinking that another good thing about this link gadget is that we know one another's post is up and ready to see. But i am not sure how to put one of these on my blog. Might have to ask you when the time comes to host ;-)

Barbara. this is great, I love the place where your paintings are, (obviously, I love your paintings) and the carpet left me speechless! I congratulate you!
very good the new system,
congratulations to Mano!

Klatsch! So lag er vor dem Sofa. Ich bin sowieso eine ganz große Musterliebhaberin....
Herzlichst
Astrid

i've always loved your patterns either in your collages or here on canvas, they grap the attention, the playful side and the longer you look the...
something very pure about them, the stone walls do correspond with that feeling to me.
thanks for being our lovely host and introducing us to a new method, a new pattern perhaps ;) xx

I really am amazed by your 2006 work, Barbara - such movement created in your patterns. That rug is real cool, too! Must have been a great show.
Thanks for trying this new way of linking our posts - very quick and easy!

Liebste Barbara,
I love your patterns, so very amorph, flowing, full of movement... full of phantasie! The carpet!! The wall with your beautiful paintings! Great Gesamtkunstwerk!
Thank you for beeing our sweet hostess :)

Love
hugs and kisses

Hab´s jetzt einfach mal hier verlinkt.

alles liebe

What a great space to view your work! I am always impressed with the size of your paintings- they seem so intimate...maybe because they remind me of under a microscope a lot and yet their real size always makes for a great contradiction!!
Such a great theme thanks so much for hosting :)

So happy to have come across your blog. I love the wonderful patterens in your art here, must have been a great exhibition! I could just presss my face to the laptop screen just to look at all the patterns you put into your work. ^_^ And I so enjoyed my visit, and reading your other posts whichhave brought a big smile to my face. Can't wait to visit again and maybe share in the challenges with the others too, if I may. ^_^ Keep up the awesomeness. <3

Die Zeit, die Zeit...I didn't find the time again to participate in time, but I still finished my support to this theme and come along now for a belated visit.

What lovely patterns Barbara! THanks for the invite to the dc. I have been away from home as well as away from a computer (it was lovely!) so wasn't able to join in, but am now enjoying visiting everyone's posts. I also love your collages - but I am afraid that I can not choose a favourite - I kept changing my mind!
