As you could see on my latest post I did the theme already, so I decided to draw a veil tail goldfish. They fascinate me a lot, I like the long wavy tails flattering and floating in the water, for me swimming at its best calming, free and easy. I'm playing with the idea having a aquarium with a few of them - not quite sure if this is a good idea though...
Wish you all a pleasant weekend!

here's a little story on veiling tails.. hm.
i was in an aquarium surroundings in horniman museum last year, and wanted to shoot the veiling what's-it-called-s of jelly fish. as i dug into my bag in the dark (my battery had run out of course, and my spare was somewhere 'safe'), a classroom or two of english school children closed me in in front of all that veiling-going-on. i didn't know whether to sweat or swoon... i did manage to shoot 'em in the end!
but your veiling tail is just extraordinarily ... veiling!

your pencil drawing is fascinating, to say the least.
Barbara, I love your drawings (today's and yesterday's). Your aquarium idea sounds good to me. Have a lovely weekend!

gorgeous goldfish swimming so gracious against a fabulous blue, very beautiful how you brought in the black and white 'doodling',there is something very calming about this work too, x
Ever since I was little we had an aquarium back home. I've always wanted one of my own but I'm not sure I could keep up with cleaning it and so on...
Goldfish are lovely. We had those too, a golden one and a white one! I used to love watching them. :)
I'm fascinated of your black underwater drawing with the bubbles and the goldfish is "wunderhübsch" (sorry, no english word..!)!
:-) mano
What a personable little gold fish, Barbara! We always had an aquarium as children, with guppies usually. Happy week to you, sus
I love this deep blue sea. And the orange against the blue. And the juxtaposition of the black and white with the strong colour. This whole art piece is stunning Barbara! I used to have gold fish. They were lovely but a lot of work. You have to test the ph balance all of the time, and the fish poop so that has to be removed from the water...and the fish die and that is the saddest thing...to find the body. Sorry to leave this comment on a downer!! I love your art. It makes me happy. Talk soon, Norma, xo
