dc CRYSTAL

Diese Woche hat uns die überaus beliebte Norma zum Thema "CRYSTAL" eingeladen, 

das sich durch das Suchen und Finden "ihres" grünen Kristalls  magisch ergeben hat.

"Illustrae" kommt aus dem Lateinischen und bedeutet "Erleuchten". 

Beim Illustrieren reflektiert man nicht nur die Wirklichkeit, man schafft etwas Neues, 

schenkt der Welt eine neue, eigene Sicht, quasi kleine "Erleuchtungen" im Alltag.

Dieses Jahr hab ichs mit Vögeln, zeichne sie in mein Skizzenbuch (zeige ich demnächst) 

und beim Thema "CRYSTAL" wollte ich gleich einen Sticken. 

Wieso? Weiß nicht, vielleicht, weil ich zu meinem eigenen Erstaunen festgestellt habe, 

als ich das Werk "Fuck" gestickt habe, dass es mir Spaß macht, was ich von einer 

solchen Handarbeit zu allerletzt erwartet hatte. Aber so wars. 
Und! Irgendwie gefällt mir die Kombination von Zeichnung/Malerei 
und Sticken, Nähen etc., Collage - mixed media eben.

Deshalb der Vogel der einen Kristall gefangen hat oder vielleicht läßt er ihn auch nur wie ein Luftballon fliegen, 
wer weiß. Die Erleuchtung (illustrae) verleiht der Fantasie flügel und 

der Vogel schwebt sowieso über allem - ich finde, das passt zusammen. Was meint Ihr?

Ich freue mich schon auf alle Eure "Erleuchtungen", die auf Normas blog zu finden sind.

This week the most popular Norma invited us on " CRYSTAL " , which has emerged 

magically by searching and finding "her" green crystal." Illustrae " comes from Latin and means " Enlighten " . 
 When you illustrate you do not only reflect the reality, 
one creates something new, give the world a new, own view  

of the world, simply small  "enlightments " in everyday life.

This year I'm drawn to birds, drawing them in my sketchbook ( I will show soon) 
 and the topic of  "CRYSTAL "made me want to do an embroided one.  
Why ? Do not know, maybe because I 've found to my own surprise , 
as I have embroidered the work  "Fuck" 

that I enjoy what I had last of all expected from such a manual labor.  
But that 's it.  And ! Somehow I like the combination of drawing / painting 
and embroidery, sewing etc. , sort of collage - mixed media.

Therefore, the bird had taken a crystal or maybe he lets him just like a balloon fly, 

who knows. The enlightenment (illustrae ) gives the imagination wings and the 

bird hovers over everything anyway - I think it fits together.

Das erste was mir dazu einfällt ist: Midsommar ! 

Ein Klischee aus Ikeaperspektive.......

und der zweite Gedanke ist: NNNNEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN, 

ich habe doch noch gar nicht angefangen (mit dem Sommer), denn ich bin definitiv 

der Frühling-Sommer-Mensch, liebe das Licht, die hellen endlosen Nächte und 

die romantische (Ikea)-Vorstellung von lauen Sommernächten, 

draussen mit Freunden feiern, grillen, kühlen Getränken und heissen 

Diskussionen und nicht endenwollenden Sommertagen voller Sonne, 

Strand, Blumen und blauen Himmel......

The first thing that comes to mind is this: Midsommar!  

A cliché from Ikea perspective .......
and the second thought is: nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooo!,
I have not even started yet (with summer), because I am definitely
the spring-summer type, love the light, bright and endless nights
the romantic (Ikea)-Presentation of summer nights,
out celebrating with friends, grilling, cold drinks
and hot discussions and unending summer days full of sun,
Beach, flowers and blue sky ......

 

 Naja, manchmal klappt's, manchmal nicht, 

denn pünktlich zum Sommer- und Ferienanfang ist das Wetter eher bescheiden, 

aber das ändert sich hoffentlich bald, um sich voll sämtlichen Ikeaklischees 

hinzugeben und das Leben und den Sommer in vollen Zügen zu geniessen.

 

Well, sometimes it works, sometimes not,
because now with Sommertime and holiday season startet

 the weather is rather modest,
but hopefully that will change soon, in order to fully adopt all Ikea cliché

 and to enjoy life and the summer to the fullest.

Drawing Challenge SWIM

This weekends drawing challenge SWIM is hosted by the lovely and talented Rachel so please don't miss to go to her side to see all the other swimmers!

As you could see on my latest post I did the theme already, so I decided to draw a veil tail goldfish. They fascinate me a lot, I like the long wavy tails flattering and floating in the water, for me swimming at its best calming, free and easy.  I'm playing with the idea having a aquarium with a few of them - not quite sure if this is a good idea though...

Yes I'm little late today, I had to clean up my workdesk first (see the difference?), for collages I'm a messy worker, I need to see all scraps I might use, but sometimes I can't stand the mess anymore - this was the fact today. I promise it wont last very long ;/

It didn't turn out exactly like I wanted it to be, I used a too big brush, so I messed it up a littlebit which made me a little *!x)8%@///''#°!"(*!!

I won!

Finally I managed to go through this battle.
My cure wasn't bathing in nicely named smells - I did it 2 days ago and it was nice, but afterwards it feeled the same, my bath was smelling like heaven though, which was great... but I didn't feel relaxed at all. I could even find the right music to work with.

Yesterday evening we went ice skating - that was a lot of fun.
Today I wasn't in the mood for painting at all and so I went SHOPPING, Sale is the keyword here! I found a few nice clothes and that really cheered me up a lot.

And after reading a ridiculous magazin (Grazia - not my normal literature) I started painting with very loud music and it went better.

Struggle against own demands

Do you know the feeling that you want too much at once, and therefore does not run or less than usual, so it was with me the whole week. My next exhibition is coming up and I would like to show some new pictures. The thought alone is idiotic, because the time is too short. What does not discourage me, to do it anyway. A fight which you can not really win.

Therefore, I am trying to let go, to rediscover the fun, fun for the moment and relax.
I've decided that I have to take care better for myself and so bought a couple of relaxing baths with the idiotic name: Winter Harmony and Happy Timeout. (How stupid can you actually be?) But at least it has meant that I was giggling at the store when I bought it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to complain. Its more that I discovered that its important to slow down and remember that you love what're doing and to get the groove again, instead of trying to force it, let it flow.

In this sense I wish you a relaxing weekend, let it go, feel good!

Today I like to show  you an older painting, because I had a few thoughts with Julia about the spites and tricks of our brains.

And I thank you all very much for your comforting comments on my blog here. I don't wanted to complain - I want to complain about the sketchbook paper, but this will be another post - no it's only  what occurs if you have to many plans and ideas in exactly the same minute... the normal MADNESS! Nothing to worry about, but maybe not possible to do it all and it gets even harder, if you easily distracted by for example the allurement of the world-wide-wahnsinn (insanity), such as all your lovely and creative blogs where I like to look and where I realise that the planed 10 minutes turned into 2 hours. Which isn't fatal any more since I know whom to blame for ( Einstein).
