Art Challenge "ROOM" (with a view)

Hello everyone!

It's been a while on this neglected blog, but trying to put up this post

for this weeks art challenge from our lovely Nadine, I know why:

it's a whole lot of work!

But fun too. Rambling over ideas how to put this challenge into pictures.

Out theme today "ROOM".

There are trillions of possibilities to interpret the theme but I was going

with the idea of room as a place to create like a studio for example.

But hot as it is these day my studio is going to be to HOT and

glistening sunlight in the afternoon simple blinds you.

And as we had to many rainy days this summer I like to jump

onto every possibility to be outside and turn the garden into my

part time studio

or the terrace

 Above pic is for you Ariane.... you know why.

or find a nice comfy room at the sea (one of my favorite places)

During my 365 days collage project I brought my studio even to the camping ground.

And sometimes you can turn a coffee shop in a room of ones own...

Or carry your stuff to your friends rooms...

Collage-Workshop bei Boesner in Hamburg

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

aufregende Neuigkeiten! Ich gebe im September meinen ersten

Collage-Workshop bei Boesner in Hamburg!! YEAH - so aufregend.

Wer also schon immer mal Lust hatte mit mir zusammen Collagen

zu machen und mir persönlich auf die Finger gucken wollte, wie 

meine Collagen entstehen, der hat jetzt dazu Gelegenheit.

Und natürlich geht es dabei nicht um mich, sondern darum selbst

kreativ zu werden und seine eigenen Geschichten mit Collagen zu

erzählen und einfach mal nach herzenslust in den Prozeß des

Finden, Experimentieren einzutauchen und sich einfach mal auf

eine spannende Entdeckungsreise der künstlerischen Möglichkeiten

einzulassen.

Dann könnt Ihr Euch ab sofort bei Boesner in Hamburg anmelden.

Der Kurs findet am 17. September 2016 von 11 bis 15 Uhr statt.

Ich freue mich sehr auf Euch und bin sicher, es werden tolle Arbeiten

entstehen und wir werden jede Menge Spaß zusammen haben!

AC/DC ☜ ☺☺☺☺ blue

Hello everyone,

Patrice is our host for this weekends art challenge  drawing challenge (AC/DC - haha!)

the theme BLUE.

Blue is the most favorite color at least in Germany 

I think because its the color of the sky and the ocean

and we accosciate with it wastenes and light

and therefore maybe with calming and relaxing

and often with hope

and the light coming together with a blue sky makes everything and every color pop 

we are living on a blue planet so its maybe no surprise that we are drawn to this color

its the atmosphere which makes our sky blue

if we would live on mars the sky would appear orange

and I wonder if then our most favorite color would be orange?

but at least the sunset on mars is blue

with no atmosphere the sky would look black...

so I think we can be really happy with our blue sky

its a good color don't you think?

Alster Spaziergang

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

Hello my dear ones,

habt Ihr auch so ein Sauwetter?

Ich glaub, Weihnachten war es entschieden wärmer...

did you have  such a bad weather also?
I think Christmas it was indeed warmer ...

 

Obwohl wir gestern "viel" Wetter hatten und das z.T. im zügigen 

Wechsel, war ein kurzer Spaziergang an der Alster drin.

Although we had yesterday "much" weather and  in extensiveexchange, I made a short walk along the Alster.

Der Vorteil von dramatischem Wetter ist ja man hat genauso

einen dramatischen Himmel

The advantage of dramatic weather is you have justthe same amout of dramatic sky

 

Die Enten indes waren kein bisschen schüchtern

The ducks, however, were not the least bit shy

 

Enten von vorn sehen irgendwie urkomisch aus, findet ihr nicht?

Ducks from the front look kind of hilarious, don't you think?

 

Ja und ich war nicht die einzige, die einen Alsterspaziergang gemacht hat

Yes, and I was not the only one who has made a walk at the Alster (lake in Hamburg)

die Gänse haben schon jede Menge flauschiger niedlicher Küken

the geese have plenty of fluffy plush chicks

 

davon soviele, daß es eng wird, wenn alles versuchen sich unter

Mamas Rockzipfel zu verstecken.

so many that it is getting tight when everyone tries to get under

Denn der nächste Hagel-Regen-Schauer ließ nicht lange auf sich

warten und ich musste selbst sehen, daß ich mich in Sicherheit bringe.

 

Because for the next hail rain showers one did not have to wait for long  

and I needed to find a safe and dry place for myself right afterwards.

Das Wetter können wir nicht ändern, aber auf die Laune haben wir

schon Einfluß, also laßt euch nicht unterkriegen.

We can't change the weather, but our mood we haveunder control, so do not let yourselves down by it.

Wanderlust - Orte, die man unbedingt besucht haben sollte

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

wegen Ostern heute mal kein Video, dafür aber einen kleinen Ausflug nach Husum.

Hello everyone,

due to Easter this week no video but a excursion to Husum.

Husum liegt in Nordfriesland an der Nordseeküste und von da aus, sind es noch

etwa 50 km bis zur dänischen Grenze.

Husum is located at the north coast in north germany approx.

50 km away from the danish boarder.

Berühmt ist Husum aber vorallem durch das Krokusblütenfest, denn der Legende nach

sollen im 15. Jahrhundert Mönche bzw. später  Herzogin Marie Elisabeth

Krokusse für den Safran für die Zuckerbäckerei angebaut haben.

Famous is Husum for the crocus blossom festival, because according to legend
in 15th century monks and later Duchess Marie Elisabeth
have grown crocuses for Safran for confectionery.

Dummerweise haben sie die falsche Sorte gepflanzt und deshalb gabs keinen Safran.

Unfortunately, they have planted the wrong kind, and therefore there was no saffron.

Dafür ein violetten Blütentraum, der sich wie ein luftiger wogender lila Teppich
über den gesamten Schloßpark erstreckt.

But therefore a violet flowers dream like a dizzy swaying purple carpet
extends over the entire castle grounds.

Ein Fest für die Sinne, daß zahlreiche Besucher und Schaulustige anlockt.

A feast for the senses that many visitors and onlookers attracts.

Aber Husum hat noch mehr zu bieten, tolle Häuser z.B.

But Husum has more to offer for example beautiful houses.

Die Nordsee, bei gutem Wetter ein Traum in Blau

The north sea in good weather a dream in blue.

Gut für Deichläufer und Schafe.

Good for dike wanderers and sheep.

 Aber ein bisschen windfest sollte man schon sein

But you should be a little wind resistant.

Aber die Altstadt ist auch sehr schön

And a beautiful old town.

mit dem kleinen Hafen

with a cute little habour

und zu guter Letzt darf ein bisschen norddeutscher Humor nicht fehlen.

And a bit of north german humour.

Wünsche Euch eine schöne Frühlingswoche, ab Freitag soll es ja warm werden.
