Sonntag ist es wieder soweit, "Deine EigenART" öffnet wieder die Tore

hoch oben im Norden im schönen Kiel!

on sunday again the fair "Deine EigenArt" opens again

in the norther city Kiel.

Ich freue mich, daß ich wieder dabei sein kann und die
Vorbereitungen laufen auf Hochtouren....

I'm happy to participate again and the 

preparations are going on highspeed...

 Heute ausnahmsweise sogar mal mit Sonnenschein,
was nach all dem Grau und Nieselregen der letzten Tage
eine echte Erholung ist fürs Gemüt ist! 

Today exceptionally even with sunshine,
what after all the gray and drizzle days recently
is a real treat for the soul!

Und da die Sonne im Moment schon um 16.27 Uhr wieder
untergeht, muß man sich auch ein bisschen beeilen,
wenn man Fotos seiner neuen Planer machen will.
Ehrlich gesagt fühle ich mich im Winter dadurch immer
gehetzt, denn schwupps ist es schon wieder dunkel.

And since the sunset at the moment  is already at 16.27 h
you have to be a little hurry if you want to take pictures of your new stuff.
Honestly, I feel in winter always a bit rushed because its getting dark so early.
 

Morgens geht man im Dunkeln mit dem Hund in den Wald
und fragt sich, wo eigentlich der Unterschied zu abends besteht.
Ehrlich gesagt: Ich weiß es nicht.
Für mich sieht Dunkel dunkel aus.

In the morning you go in the dark wood with the dog
and wonders where actually is the difference to the evening.
Honestly: I do not know. For me dark looks dark.

Für alle, für die Kiel dem Ende der Welt gefährlich nahe kommt,
nicht verzagen, ab nächste Woche gibts auch alles wieder online im Shop.

For all of you for whom Kiel  comes dangerously close to end of the world,
don't give up hope, next week everything will be online in the shop.

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

Zeit nach all dem Packen, Organisieren und den Märkten auch mal wieder ins

Studio zu gehen und kreativ zu werden. Meine sehr nette Standnachbarin auf

dem Alsterdorfer Weihnachtsmarkt hat mir alte Familienfotos mitgebracht,

die sie sonst weggeworfen hätte. Entweder, weil sie gar nicht weiß, wer das

auf den Fotos ist oder sie die Fotos doppelt haben. Da sie gesehen hat, was

ich mit solch alten Fotos anstelle und wie ich sie zu neuem Leben, eine

ihnen vielleicht bis dahin völlig unbekannten Existenz gebe oder Leben in einem

Paralelluniversum verschaffe von dem sie nicht mal zu träumen gewagt hätten

(die Fotos), fragte sie mich, ob ich sie vielleicht haben wollte.

UND OB ich das wollte!!! 

An alle da draußen, die meinen alte Fotos, Kartei-

karten, Schriftstücke mit schöner alter Schrift oder ähnliches ausmisten zu

wollen... HIER find sich ein überaus dankbarer Abnehmer, der sich wie blöd

freut neues Futter für neue Collagen zu bekommen!!!

Hello everyone,

After all that packing, organizing, and the markets its time again to go
to the Studio and be creative. My very nice booth neighbor on
the Alsterdorfer Christmas market brought me old family photos,
she would have otherwise thrown away. Either because she did not know who that
is in the photos or have the photos twice. Since she has seen what
I do with such old photos and what kind of new life,
maybe give them a completely unknown existence or life in a
Paralelluniverse from which they would not have even dared to dream off
(the photos), she asked me if I wanted them maybe.
YOU BET I wanted them badly !!
To everyone out there who wants to clean out old photos, index cards, 

documents with beautiful old fonts or similar ....

... HERE is a very grateful customer, who gets totally
crazy about fodder for new collagen!!!

Deshalb mal ein paar behind-the-scenes Bilder, um zu zeigen wie aus alten

Fotos neue Collagen entstehen. Dazu habe ich zunächst mal Untergründe

vorbereitet und dann sehen wir mal weiter....

Therefore a few behind-the-scenes pictures to show how out of old
photos new collages become. To this end, I first created a few backgrounds.

ich bin halbwegs vorbereitet (wie man unten sehen kann),

Whats on your workdesk wednesday

In my case it must say what is next to your workdesk wednesday...
Yesterday evening I purchased this little Billy of ikea painted the back in dark lilac and built it together this morning to have a littlebit more storage and to make my workplace a bit more comfy for the autum/winter season - it got cold over night here - same with my little table and chair...
The ribbon drove me nearly crazy while trying to pimp up the ikea candles, but finally they gave up first!

So whats on your workdesk today, hope a lot of  creative project and chaos...

.. how it looks today

Update to my yesterdays workdesk post - this is how it looks today.

It didn't turn out exactly like I wanted it to be, I used a too big brush, so I messed it up a littlebit which made me a little *!x)8%@///''#°!"(*!!

Think positive

Last week I bought a book on positive thinking, I thought I'd need again a better perspective on life. Along the lines, there are no bad experiences, but it comes down to how you evaluate things.
Since then ironically everything goes wrong!
That same day, Yumi has completely rolled in the  shit, she stank 10 miles against the wind and the bad, I was still with the car there and had to take this dog home again. My car smelled like a rolling shithouse.
What was the good news now?
That the fur was very soft and fluffy again, after I had bathed and shampooed it?

Yesterday I picked up my son from the station, he came from a visit from grandpa and grandma back in the Allgäu (Bavaria close to the alps).
When I wanted to go home with him the car didn't start.

Presumably it is the fuel pump ...., the good news is, it's probably still under warranty because the car is only 1,5 years old. The bad news is they are waiting for another car on the replacement part for 3 weeks!
Tomorrow, we really wanted to go to Belgium for camping.
And now? Lucky it didn't happening on the road somewhere in Belgium and luckily we don't have to sit in the rain and cold in the tent?

Strangely, all this makes me absolutely nothing, I'm still in good spirits and still smiling!

The other day a bird flew through the open balcony door in my apartment and I liked it to have him on my working table and furniture, he was soo cute.

Grey days and studio lights

Yesterday was grey the hole day, it didn't really get light - something formerly known as "daylight". That's the time where you're desperately waiting to be Advent, when all houses are illuminated with Christmas Decoration/Lights  (in some cases a few overdo it, that it becomes some sort of Chriswoodness :-)).
Today the sun is shining and it's quite mild - we had our breakfast on the balcony - you remember its November!?

New arrivals

Yesterday arrived "my" sketchbook from Art House, New York. This is really exciting for me.

..... and also a lot of ebay books arrived saturday and yesterday. Wow, it's always a littlebit like christmas for me when all this packages arriving. I like that. So much intriguing stuff to work with. Nearly too much I don't really know what to start with first.  I'm such an idiot sometimes! But look here:
