sondern unter dem Mikroskop entfalten sich ganz erstaunliche Welten
wie hier bei diesem Beispiel links ein Wasserfloh,
der sich von Kugelalgen Pandorina
(was für ein hübscher Name!) rechts ernährt.

Der deutsche Forscher und Wissenschaftler Ernst August Haeckel (1834 - 1919)
erforschte u.a. Radiolaren, einzellige Tiere, Strahlentierchen, Medusen und Staatsquallen.
Er war aber nicht nur Forscher, sondern auch ein begnadeter Zeichner wie sämtliche
aus seiner Hand stammenden Darstellungen und Bildtafeln
auch heute noch
durch ihre Naturtreue und Plastizität eindrucksvoll
belegen. Diese besitzen
aufgrund ihrer Materialfülle auch heute noch
wissenschaftlichen Wert.
UND was noch viel wichtiger ist, sie sind wunderschön und ein unerschöpflicher
Quell der Inspiration für mich und ich kann Euch seine Bücher nur wärmsten empfehlen,
