and here comes the bookbinding story:
 

Letzten Samstag habe ich einen Buchbindekurs bei Marie gemacht.

Habe letztes Jahr schon mal einen woanders gemacht und das meiste wieder vergessen.

Jetzt habe ich mir vorgenommen, gleich weiter zu binden, damit das nicht wieder passiert. 

Daily project or what?!

Last Saturday I made a bookbinding course at Marie.
Have done it before last year with somewhere else and forgotten most.
Now I have decided to continue with book binding so that this does not happen again.
Daily project or what?

Marie hat das super erklärt, gezeigt und gemacht, das war wirklich toll 

und jetzt würde ich eigentlich noch gern einen über Japanbindungen machen...

Maria did explain and  showed it very good, that was great

and now I like to do another course with japanese binding.....

Mittags gabs ein tolles Buffett zusammengetragen von allen Teilnehmern 

und wie man sieht: unfassbar lecker und ich dumme Nuß bin ausgerechnet auf Diät!

At noon there was a great Buffett collected from all participants
and as you can see: incredibly delicious and me stupid nut as I am being on a diet!

Und dann diese coole Werkstatt, vollgestopft mit allen Materialien und Werkzeugen und

Möglichekeiten! Da möchte man doch gleich alles rauskramen, anfassen und ausprobieren.

Ich bin da bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal gewesen! I'll be back!

And then this cool studio, replete with all the materials and tools and
possibilities!  You wanna go straight forward and dig it all out touch and try.
I'm certainly not been there the last time! I'll be back!

 und ich kann gar nicht fassen, wie gut dieses Buch geworden ist!

and can't believe how good this book has become!

Book binding

I always wanted to bind a journal by myself and I found a "recipe" to do a little one within 10 minutes! So I gave it a try on saturday. And indeed it was pretty easy and quick without having any experience and I'm pretty proud how I managed it! I used Fabriano hot pressed watercolour paper and I'm curious how I go along with it.
Here how the front and back cover look like.

(I think would be also a nice gift for someone to fill it himself.)
