dc FOOD

This weeks theme for the drawing challenge FOOD chosen from the talented
Patrice reminded me of an old painting a made actually 20 years! ago!
Well time flies.
So I brought it out of the basement and quickly shot a few snapshots.

And I thought about the saying that you are what you eat
and I have taken it literally
and made a few collages with it

and here we have "the aubergine-girl"

... "the mushroom-girl"

"un as'n echt'n Hamburger darf'n Fischkopp natüllich auch nich fehln"

and as a real Hamburg (I mean the people of Hamburg, not the Burgers,
although an Hamburgian invented this damn old thing, honestly!)
a fishhead can't be missed because we are called this way  her in Hamburg
Fischkopp.

And its for sure important to eat healthy food but I guess not less important
to keep good care for the food! So please don't miss my
last post about theterrible practise of deep sea trawling
which leads to servere damages not only
for the sea but in the end for all of us. So please read it and
sign in the petition against it!

Thank you all!
Barbara

wow, what a painting that is! I never thought of you making these kinds of paintings, I could never do that! But I love your collages, specially the aubergine girl. They make me smile, I absolutely think they are great!

Wow Barbara what a wonderful painting! such a treat to see something of your artistic past :)

The collages are brilliant! all of them I couldn't choose which I like best- and I couldn't find the link to the trawling- but I have been following ocean health for a long time and it is abysmal right now!
My son just got his class to write to the governments of Japan and China to stop fishing sharks -
You would think fisherman would understand better how they are affecting the oceans- (but here I'm being naive because its corporations right)
And don't get me started on the pollution!
