Struggle against own demands

Do you know the feeling that you want too much at once, and therefore does not run or less than usual, so it was with me the whole week. My next exhibition is coming up and I would like to show some new pictures. The thought alone is idiotic, because the time is too short. What does not discourage me, to do it anyway. A fight which you can not really win.

Therefore, I am trying to let go, to rediscover the fun, fun for the moment and relax.
I've decided that I have to take care better for myself and so bought a couple of relaxing baths with the idiotic name: Winter Harmony and Happy Timeout. (How stupid can you actually be?) But at least it has meant that I was giggling at the store when I bought it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to complain. Its more that I discovered that its important to slow down and remember that you love what're doing and to get the groove again, instead of trying to force it, let it flow.

In this sense I wish you a relaxing weekend, let it go, feel good!

Here are some pictures of my recent struggle with and against the picture.

Oh I know this feeling so well and it's awful! When I had a show of my paintings last year (my first and, so far, my last...), I was in a panic and actually painted two small paintings on the day before it was due to be put up. In the end, those two plus one other were the only ones that sold.
I'm sure it will all come good.

herzlichst
tatjana

hari tea / inneres wissen
achtung und jetzt kommts!!
vertrau dir selbst

I feel like i'm under water or in space looking at these, I love the process pictures, (aren't they great to have to look back on later) how exciting about your show!

Your right slow down and enjoy this time- your so lucky to be doing what you love! have a great weekend-

great that you manage to catch yourself and to slow down, rather than keeping up until you hit your head against the wall.
this is always our challenge, right?
good luck with your exhibition, how wonderful that we have the possibility to live from what we love!

Jane, that really sounds familiar, but in the end you sold paintings, which is phantastic!

Kristen, yes you're right it is good to see the process afterwards. I think I'll do it in the future all the time.

Sara, I'm not quite sure if I was in time not to hit the floor.. But you know what I'm talking about and that makes me happy. I think its like your trip back home, even if its risky on money matters, it was good you did it!
And about living from what I love, I'm still working on it.
