Think positive

Last week I bought a book on positive thinking, I thought I'd need again a better perspective on life. Along the lines, there are no bad experiences, but it comes down to how you evaluate things.
Since then ironically everything goes wrong!
That same day, Yumi has completely rolled in the  shit, she stank 10 miles against the wind and the bad, I was still with the car there and had to take this dog home again. My car smelled like a rolling shithouse.
What was the good news now?
That the fur was very soft and fluffy again, after I had bathed and shampooed it?

Yesterday I picked up my son from the station, he came from a visit from grandpa and grandma back in the Allgäu (Bavaria close to the alps).
When I wanted to go home with him the car didn't start.

Presumably it is the fuel pump ...., the good news is, it's probably still under warranty because the car is only 1,5 years old. The bad news is they are waiting for another car on the replacement part for 3 weeks!
Tomorrow, we really wanted to go to Belgium for camping.
And now? Lucky it didn't happening on the road somewhere in Belgium and luckily we don't have to sit in the rain and cold in the tent?

Strangely, all this makes me absolutely nothing, I'm still in good spirits and still smiling!

more time for creativem(n)ess....

with luck soon at my new favorite place again...

Perfect place

It is incredible hot here 33 °C (91,4° F), which is to hot for me and for Yumi  (I mean what idiot is running at 33 degrees around with a fur coat?), so I drove up hill into the forrest and found a perfect place where you can sit and relax, its cooler than "downstairs" with fresh air and the wind rustling in the leaves, which remind me that I should definitely once again look at the movie "Blow up" (one 60-s classic that is worth just because of the fashion and Veruschka von Lehndorff, apart from the wacky plot.)

I'm digitized!

I'm so excited, got a mail from Arthouse that my Sketchbook is now digitized.

It's so exciting, as you would a long lost "Baby" suddenly see again and you think "Wow, I've done everything?"

Bärig

On Monday was my partners birthday - is'n it the cutest bunch of flowers which you ever saw?
I'm afraid that I have to go there again and buy also one for myself!

Remember me talking about the driest spring ever? Yes, now everything changed, its totally unpredictable more like April, the good thing is the sky looks sometimes very dramatic.

Here's a floating restaurant, which looked much nicer inside than I expected, very maritime, I had thought it would be quite stuffy and if you can sit outside its great, as you can see.

New love for Yumi and a new collar, making here the best dressed dog in sight - was für ein Glückspilz!

Ghosts and other things

My son really wanted to bake waffles yesterday, while  a ghost came acorss, they seem somehow to lie in wait for us.
Yesterday we went to a lookout point that even Goethe was here before, probably not only because of the beautiful view, but also because a certain lady named Philippine Lade caught is attention, the old womanizer ...
The monument was designed to his specifications, I think it is good that he has concentrated more on writing ;)

Hope you have a pleasant start into the week!

Recipe and finds

Especially for lovely Sandra
the recipe: (and for everyone else of course!)

Fallen apricot cake
Ingredients:
6-8 apricots (I used much more and covered the whole ground  and I think this is perfect)
250 g butter
50 g brown sugar
75 g almonds
125 g sugar
3 eggs
200 g flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
150 ml orange juice

How you do it:
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C ambient air.
Wash and halve the apricots and remove the seeds. 50 g butter melt and pour into the baking pan so that the ground is covered. Sprinkle with the brown sugar and the almonds and then place the apricot halves side by side. Stir he rest of the butter and sugar until fluffy, add gradually the eggs. Slowly add the flour and baking powder and orange juice add so much until a smooth, spreadable dough. Pour the mixture over the apricots, flatten and in the oven about 45 minutes. Allow to cool and turn it upside down before serving on a cake plate.

Enjoy!

Yesterday we went to a tiny fleamarket and I found a cute little globe (shining) (4,- Euro)  a book (0,50) and this wonderful summer Shell Bracelet (1,-) and a dinosaur game for my son (3,-). HAA!!!
Could it be any better! That made my day!

On our walk through the forrest we found this little slow worm - cute!

 have a nice rest weekend!

Weekend

In this magazin I found a delicous recipe for a apricot cake and after lovely Sara told us about her apricat jam making I was totally in apricot mood  - the right weekend treatment I guess. Sooo yummy! ? Yumi?  (The cake must be good, she barked at me because it smells so delicious.)

Wish you a nice weekend!

Maria ihm schmeckts nicht!

... or her. After a long time we've been to the Rhine again and after and after the driest and sunniest spring now it seens to establish more cloudy and rainy weather, which led to a first collection of clouds and funny people and dinosaurs were on the move as well.

I wish you all a great weekend!
All love Barbara
